Frimr.com is a FAKE web site which was built for demonstration purposes.
This
web site was built as a demonstration for a series of web developer conferences
about Microsoft technologies and products in France. Though the web site looks real
and provides real services, it’s not a real web site, and there’s no business behind
it.
The web site was created and developed by Pierre Lagarde and Christophe Lauer, two
employees of Microsoft France who are the main speakers of the series of web developer
conferences called “Mini Mix” (

link).
Personal Information
• When you register on this website, we will ask you to provide
personal information (first name, last name, complete address, phone or mobile number).
• The information we collect may be combined with information obtained from other
Microsoft services and other companies in order to calculate a global popularity
ranking.
• We also collect non personal information such as your interests as “tags”. This
information may be available for other users and public visitors for viewing.
• We may use cookies and/or other technologies to keep track of your interactions
with our site and services to offer a personalized experience, such as persistent
authentication.
• You can permanently delete your profile and all personal related data by logging
into Frimr.com using your personal login/password and by clicking the "delete" link
in the "Edit my profile" page.
Uses of Information
• We use the information we collect to provide the services that you request. Our services
may include the display of personalized content.
• We may transfer some of your personal information to third party services including
– but not limited to - Technorati, Alexa, Windows Live Search, Yahoo Search Services,
Google Search in order to compute your own ranking which is later displayed on your public profile
page.
• We do not transfer your email address(es), telephone number(s) to anyone. These
information will be kept in our databases and you can choose not to provide them,
or to delete it at any time.
• We do not sell, rent, or lease our user contact lists to third parties.
• The "tags" are free text optional keywords that you may create or use to define yourself,
your activities, your occupations and hobbies. Your tags will be visible by other
users as part of your "Public Profile" page.
• Your username will be visible by other users as part of your "Public Profile"
page.
• Your first name and last name are optional data. If you fill in your first name
and last name, this data will be visible by other users as part of your "Public
Profile" page.
• Your address is optional data. If you fill in your address, your country and city
will be visible by other users in several places on the website including the Contact
Map page and the GeoRSS Contacts RSS feed.
• Your email addresses and phone numbers will never be visible by other users nor
shared with third party services. This is optional data.
• All the Frimr.com data is stored on a dedicated server hosted by OVH in France
